We also made a quick trip to visit the lake house while we were home. Maisy and Joel set out to do some catch and release fishing that somehow ended up with a foot long dead bass in our kitchen sink. Grandma and I were not happy about it, and gave Joel and papa John a tongue lashing for killing the bass that has lived under our dock for many summers. (papa John was working in the garage when the fish was caught but that detail was overlooked during the tongue lashing!) Maisy thought the whole ordeal was an adventure. Grandma and I are going to have to teach her about the evils of fishing this summer.
