The Farm Life

It took the girls a solid week to adjust to the new time zone. The girls were run down and recovering from colds when we arrived in NH so I let them go to sleep at 4 or 5pm those first few days. As many of you know, the Jenkins are not morning people so when the girls woke up at 1am, 3am and even 5am to start their day it was painful. I tried to take the early shift and then handed them off to grandma when I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and grandma inturn handed them off to grandpa until they went down for their first nap. There was always an adult sleeping or napping in that house the first week. Grandpa finally put her foot down and would not allow the girls to go to sleep until 10 pm despite Maisy's begging. "Grandma, please I am so tired. Grandma, I want to go to sleep. Grandma, I can't stay awake any longer..." We eventually got them to regularly sleep in until about 6am. When we head back to NH for the summer I am going to recruit Paul and Rody to take the early morning shift!

Maisy and Sophie enjoyed their visit to grandma's Cindy's farm. It didn't take Maisy long to master the daily farm chores.
